Haven't yet gotten round to buying this but I was just reading the review of the UK 3D Blu-ray in August's Home Cinema Choice and they gave the audio an oustounding thumbs up, giving it 5 out of 5. It's confirmed in the review as DTS HD MA 7.1 yet I've been hearing rumours of it being DTS HD HR 7.1?? Are there 2 versions going around coz I don't wanna buy the wrong edition???

I think it's been confirmed by members that it's a HR track on the 2D version at least. If Disney start screwing with UK customers by making the definitive version only available on 3D a lot of people are going to be very upset.

For what it's worth, the HR track is positively room-shaking. If no-one had mentioned that it wasn't lossless, I'd be none the wiser. In fact, I'd be saying the soundtrack was noticeably better than most. Maybe it's even better in lossless but I'd wager only the most highly-trained ears would notice the difference.

I completely agree with above comment. But still why the hell Disney have to screw the Non US releases of their BDs. Why can't they just use the same encode is beyond me.

With regards to above remarks, it may be because Disney feels that European/non-US countries are more likely to turn on non-English dubs for the film and on some of the discs have provided less compressed DTS-HR/DTS mixes for dubs there and DD5.1 in the US version. It does shortchange the people who want the best possible original language mix, but it's not likely a result of Disney ROW deliberately screwing the customers.
