I cant log in to PSN network. Each time i get same error message 8071053D.
I google it and tried everything, turned PS3 off, turned switch on the back, unplugged cable, reboot modem(don't have router) and nothing.I did this four times and it didn't help. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks |

I got this error about an hour ago. After messing with my modem for a little bit, I disconnected the power cord from the PS3 itself. I forgot about it for about 15 minutes then returned and plugged it back in. Powered up the PS3 and it was back to normal. Done!

its been happening to me since last night. Happened again today when I tried to log-in. But I found some info on other forums that seems to help.
By any chance, do any of the rest of you have AT&T for your internet service? Supposedly the problem is with their DNS servers. But, you can manually change it to use google's DNS servers. Go to your network connection settings, and choose custom. When you get to the point where it asks for the DNS server, choose to enter it manually, then enter 8.8.8.8 for the first line, and 8.8.4.4 for the second line. For all other settings that come up before and after DNS, just choose the default settings. This seems to work for me. Though even though it worked last night and I left the settings that way, it didn't work at first tonight, and I had to make this same manual adjustment again. Anyway, give this a try and see if you can sign in. Hopefully this gets fixed sooner or later. Supposedly the problem is NOT with any of our PS3s, modem, or routers. |

Just a quick follow up note... while this is happening to a lot of people, it's not happening to everyone. After I did this work around last night and logged in, I messaged a couple of PSN friends of mine who were online at the time to ask if they had any problems, and they didn't. I'll have to check with them to see who their ISPs are.
Perhaps this has something to do with this 'anonymous' person... but in looking up this issue, apparently people with AT&T internet service (which is what I have) have had these issues before, and at least some people who recently posted in the last 24 hours about this, and some specifically mentioned having AT&T. |

Dynamo, its been going on for me today and last night and I'm on Comcast. The Playstation.com website is affected too. And Anonymous is the name of the hacker group supposedly responsible for the attacks on the PSN and Playstation.com website.

I don't have AT&T and I got the same error this morning around 6 a.m.
If this really is hackers, get their I.P. Address, give it to me, and I will personally go to their physical address and rectify the situation.......with violence. I have no problem with people protesting a company, but when you start hurting the consumers you're supposedly "fighting for" you've gone horribly wrong. |
