Hulu’s LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE

Anyone watching (watch) the first three episodes yet?

As of this writing, Hulu released three out of eight episodes

The remaining five episodes are currently scheduled to be released one per week: March 25, April 1, April 8, April 15, and the finale on April 22.

But I spent thirty minutes searching for anyone talking about/posting about it in here and was surprised that there was nothing

First three episodes are great!

Seems a bit similar to Big Little Lies. Wasnt well marketed and im not sure many people will start watching this knowing so many movies will get early releases.

On the other hand it looks good and im sure thats quality stuff but for now i will wait for the entire season to be available and then decide. I also have BLL s2 to watch so...We will see if this quarantine lets me watch all the stuff i have here...

R Witherspoon plays a character kinda similar to her Big Little Lies character. She’s really good at playing those “upper class, suburban, knows everyone in town, gossip” characters

And the first three episodes are great!

I just don’t understand why, in an age of streaming a season, Hulu didn’t release all eight? Why should we have to wait? It’s not a cable show. This isn’t an NBC or HBO series. The point of Netflix and Hulu type streaming apps is give us all the episodes, like releasing a full audio album

Movies that just hit theaters are available to watch at home today, so you’d think Hulu would make all eight episodes available now too!

“Hey boss? Should we release all eight episodes now in response to everyone being home and streaming? We can get a ton of viewers.”

“Nah. I’m a dunce. Let’s release one per week for the next five weeks like morons”

Runaways started like that and then they changed for full seasons. But seeing this is a Mini-Series without second season they probably will release weekly because its not like they need to captivate fans.

But, pardon my ignorance because I’m new to streaming, I thought the point of getting and paying for streaming apps like Hulu and Netflix was to live a life better than cable?

When we subscribed to Netflix, Amazon Video and Hulu, I thought, “Gone are the days of waiting seven days for another new episode!” (like the days of waiting for LOST or GAME OF THRONES)

Yet here I am; waiting seven days for another episode of a Hulu show

The Pharmacist, Dont F With Cats, and The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez were all limited “one season shows” and all eps were released on day one (I think)

Either way, my point is, in this current social distancing time, why isn’t Hulu simply releasing all eight?

HULU isn't releasing all the episodes at once with this show the same way they do it with Handmaidens Tale, which is one of the few/only noteworthy shows on HULU.

Hulu just isn't very good and they have to hope people subscribe for longer to watch the shows rather just sign up for a month once a year, binge your show, and be done with it.

Looking forward to seeing this. Love Kerry Washington & Reese.

Heard of it before this show but never had it. I assume it's probably pretty decent. However, I make my own bread crumbs (cause they have to be gluten-free) and make my meatloaf that way and don't forget the ketchup! I have thought of crumbling up some of my gluten free pretzels before and using that. Anyway, I watch way too much Chopped (and Triple G).

I have watched this show with my wife and not really digging it all that much. I'm just struggling to really find any characters I like which unfortunately I need even in a show like this where almost everybody is some shade of grey. But my wife loves the Reese Witherspoon, so she's liking it and finds it interesting. I think I just watch it with her because she's explaining everything to me for once (she grew up in that era, I was already in college, lol).

This has gotten so little buzz, I almost wonder if there will be a Season 2. I know The Morning Show was set for 2 seasons from the start. Not sure about this show.

I wish we could watch The Morning Show, but we don’t have Apple TV

But I do like Little Fires Everywhere MORE than Big, Little, Lies.

Considering it was adapted from a novel, I assumed it was always intended as a limited series like Looking For Alaska, Sharp Objects, or Big Little Lies (which only got a second season because it was such a runaway hit).

I don't think a season 2 was ever in the plans.

Finished it... thought it was a ridiculous cringefest tbh.

Laughable plot full of eye-roll worthy moments.

Some strong moments from Reese Witherspoon though... and it was mostly watchable. I actually think the flashback episode was the highlight of the season.

Ahhhh
I liked the first few episodes

I didn’t like that it got black/white/racial/class with the Mia/Kerry Washington character because that was clearly added to sound so 2019/2020, but it wouldn’t have ever happened like that for two reasons:

1. Mia was white in the book

2. The show doesn’t take place in 2019/2020. It takes place in like 1994. So that kind of talk didn’t nor wouldn’t happen

Yes, it was only 8 eps. One of those shows where there wasn't a single likeable character on it.

Excellent show with outstanding performances from Kerry and Reese. I really wanted another episode when the finale ended, but I'm ultimately satisfied with it standing as a limited series. Reese is killing it in the cable/streaming space with Big Little Lies, The Morning Show, and now Little Fires Everywhere.
