Question LCD shadow problem

Hey, guys, I've had this problem for quite some time now. Its a 2007 Samsung LE32R88BD, and basically, I have black lines around the screen, like a border. Its not too noticeable during the day, but at night when my room is darker and the back light is brighter, the problem is much more apparent. Has anyone else experienced this? or know the cause of the problem?

I've also noticed that colours are sometimes bit murky in places. Although I only notice it in films, I haven't playing video games.

Our first Sharp did this and when the tech came by he said that the led pannel was shot. It was under an extended warrenty at the time so it was replaced.

It was the same type of banding.
