Default Whats a good video card?

I am looking into building a solid gaming computer, I have RAM and CPU all picked out, but am rather confused about the video cards. I have always built my computers, but its been about 7-8 years since my last one. The info for video cards has got to be insane!! I would like one that can EASILY handle all games out at this time. I would like to run dual video cards just to make sure. Thank you guys very much.

Get 2x GTX560, or a single GTX580 and add in a second when you have the money. The 6990 and GTX590 aren't that great value for money.

he didn't ask the best value...he just asked which are the fastest cards available right now...

but, I agree, two 560's in SLI would be a powerhouse.
