Amelie was already released in other countries. Crazy Miramaxe, you still screwed up Hero and many other releases. I'll wait and see the reviews.

I can't wait to get Amelie. I hope some more Jean Pierre Jeunet films will be available in the future. I just hope it's not $29.99

sure... the news on the home page here does not denote the commentary track though, while the press info denotes " Each Blu-ray Disc premiere is packed with special features including filmmaker audio commentaries, deleted scenes, featurettes, auditions and more!"

I'm going to get 'Pyjamas'...I have it on DVD but am in the process of upgrading.

I'll definitely be getting The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. I'm glad to see that it is being released on BD.

I doubt it. Alliance is 1080i (probably from a broadcast TV HD master), the Lionsgate release will be 1080p.

The same thing happened with the Scream films.

Been WAITING for this for years! Few movies in my collection have deserved a hi-def release like Amelie has. 'Bout time folks! Hope this will find some new fans as well. I've been in love with Audrey Tatou ever since...

With this off my Want list, I'm down to just a few (Star Wars, The Wall, The Big Lebowski and Pulp Fiction are some that come to mind) that I continue to beg for. So, soon - I'll be down to two.
