Default Movies that understand what relationships are really like

What are some movies you think have a realistic understanding of how relationships work?

They don't have to accurately portray them, just show that they actually understand some real qualities.

Here's a few of mine:
(500)Days of Summer
-A lot of people I know always tell me that when they watched it, it was just like they were back in a relationship with someone they loved.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall
-The comedy aside, this film has a fundamental understanding of what goes on in relationships and what happens when two people don't communicate.

Fever Pitch
-Probably one of my favorites. There's a lot going on between them and in the end it's about loving someone for who they are.

Excellent choice!

I'd like to add Easy A also. Such a smart film.

I'm gonna have to disagree with Easy A and Sarah Marshall.

For me, I'd list the following:

500 Days of Summer
Closer

The flash back scenes of their relationship in Sarah Marshall really put their differences in perspective and when they each explain their actions related to them it really shines a light to the understanding.

Exactly. (500) Days of Summer and the flashback scenes in Forgetting Sarah Marshall are the first things that came to mind for me.

I agree 100 percent with 500 days of summer. But I feel REALLY bad for anyone who's relationship is like Closer. I wouldn't put up with anything close to that for more than 5 minutes, damn....

Thanks.

I'd agree with Easy A. It was very well written and it actually understood the high school dynamic, and in the end, relationships. Such a great movie. I'll probably watch it when I get home.

I thought the Last Kiss did a good job at portraying real relationships and what can happen in different situations.
