Default The Eight Mountains (2023)

Anybody else seen 'The Eight Mountains' ?

This is the new film from Felix van Groeningen (The Broken Circle Breakdown) and his wife Charlotte Vandermeersch. It is in theatres now and is absolutely beautiful.

It charts the friendship of two young boys over a time span of about 25 years as they grow up and find their true calling living in the Italian alps. The landscape plays a huge part in the film and some of the shots are stunning. It's quite long at 2 and a half hours but is worth it. Hopefully a Blu-Ray arrives soon.

Really fancied seeing this but been awkward trying to find showtimes. I believe Picturehouse are releasing it in the UK and have been pretty good at getting stuff out on Blu.

I would agree it's quite a beautiful movie. Takes a while to get to where it's going., but it's a beautiful journey.
