I've been looking for a job for a few months and haven't even got a phone call back, until now, haha.
I have an interview at a local TV station for a production assistant position, which I think would be a pretty awesome job for a college kid. The other one is for an unpaid legal assistant volunteer position at the United States Attorney's Office that the defense attorney I use to work for help me set up. The Assistant US Attorney I spoke with said that since I had strong references and some past experience in a law office, my felony conviction can possibly be overlooked; especially since I'm willing to volunteer while the Justice Department is struggling to manage the case loads due to the hiring freeze- but it would require a special waiver. I would kill for either one. The production assistant job would help me out with my bills, but I would also like to be able to list a job at a federal prosecutor's office on a law school application. Decisions decisions.... Wish me luck! Haha |
