Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen Blu-ray US or import?

Anyone see /have both versions of the film? I am ready to pull the trigger on this one, love the cover on the Chinese import but it seems the video quality isn't good compared to the just released US version anyone has the import, and is it that bad?

I would recommend getting the U.S. version because the English subtitles on the Asian release are quite poor.

US BD has best video and extras (more features) while the HK BD best audio (Dolby TrueHD 7.1 audio tracks) and deleted scenes as exclusive feature.

AQ/PQ wise, they're very similar but I just cant get pass the fact that the US version doesnt offer the Cantonese track. So I say import the HK version.

I have the US version and like other blu-ray DVD's from Well Go USA the sound fades during conversations and is very loud if not too loud during the combat scenes. I find that I have to constantly adjust the volume as the film proceeds. Do not know what the HK edition does in that right, but it is just a bit bothersome. Other than that and the occasional too fast subtitle I like the film a lot, and the cast is super including JiaJia Chen who played the villainess in Seven Swords and one of them in this film too.

The movie was targeted at the Mainland audience so it was shot in Mandarin, with the exception of Donnie and Anthony Wong who spoke all their lines in Cantonese and later had them dubbed over in Mandarin. It's similar to Stephen Chow's CJ7 where the entire cast spoke Mandarin while Chow had all his lines spoken in Cantonese and dubbed in Mandarin during post.

Am I right, that the DNR applied to this movie was intentional and exists in all versions?

I had the UK disc and couldn't abide the waxy look.

There's DNR in the US release as well, so maybe.
