Cool, thanks Creed.

Really liked the trailer here for Aquaman. It doesn't feel as overly serious in tone as Zack Snyder's films can be. But just as important, this could potentially be a great 3D film with all of the characters floating in the water in 3D space, if they push the 3D towards strong 3D. Looking forward to this now.

I see that's Amber Heard with the red hair. She was in Drive Angry 3D with Nic Cage, which had strong filmed 3D.

Are you hoping for a corollary? She was hot in Drive Angry, a bit less so here. I hope it's crazy strong and I'll wait until somebody else reports on the 3D. I'm not thrilled with the re-stylized Aquaman or Jason Momoa. Plus DC has a growing streak of bad movies.

I liked her in Drive Angry 3D, yes.
It's a challenge to translate the comics into real life characters without making it look cheesy, as with Shazam, which they intentionally went with the goofy style because of the humorous style of the film. With Aqua man classic, he always wore the orange shirt I remember, from watching the Super Friends animated show on DVD, though I haven't read the comics recently.

Momoa is more like a badass Aquaman, than the friendly hero I saw in the past, but maybe that's what this character needed to be believable to wider audiences.

I think you hit the nail on the head when it comes to the intentions of all the changes being made to the comic book characters. From Spider-man villains being more mechanized, his recent school being more reflective of modern reality to changing the backgrounds of Susan Richards to a scientist herself and countless other examples of which I'm sure I could produce a substantial list, seem like an effort to make it more believable. The problem is that, in the end, it is still quite unbelievable and ruins much of the fun for the people who grew up reading them. So they annoy a bunch of grumpy old men like me to try to appeal to kids who never read the source material in the first place. It seems to me they could have pleased everyone if they wanted to.

I´m not a fan of DC movies.
I watched a couple of DC movies and i don´t like them.

BUT this Trailer Looks really impressive. I think i´ll get DC a new Chance to blow me away.
The undersea world is fantastic to use 3D. I hope we will get a good 3D conversion. There is much CGI - this is good for the 3D effect.
I wich the movie has IMAX Scenes, but otherwise we don´t get them on 3D Blu-Ray.

I fall in love with the Mosasaurus <3

I love Marvel movies - and and i love this Aquaman Trailer from DC :-)

I really like the DC movies. I enjoy the marvel movies but they are all the same. Too jokey at times and very predictable. DC movies are a nice fresh take on superheroes and thats going back to the original batman , then batman begins, and the current DC movies.

I think man of steel os the best modern superhero movie out there. Superman seems like a real person comapred to anything marvel has right now.

BVS was good , Suicide squad was tons of fun. Wonder Woman was great, Justice League was awesome and i have no doubtthis will be too

Good point. Pleasing everyone is an impossible challenge though, as even the best movies have critics. But I see what you're saying about keeping the characters as classic as possible.

I agree, the visuals here present huge potential for 3D, but that's the only thing I see here that works for me. Looks like a massive budget movie and massively overblown, but very false and ridiculous.

Yes if only we could have a realistic, grounded movie about superpowered fish people living underwater.

I hear what you're saying about trying to make something unbelievable seem more realistic. Aquaman sort of falls into the Ant-Man category for the theme being very far fetched, that it's tough to pull off without being a little cheesy, so it's a good idea for the creators to add in some humor to balance it out. With Ant-Man, the humor helps sell the theme really well. I can imagine if the Ant-Man films were very serious like The Dark Knight films, with hardly any humor, and here's a tiny guy running around fighting bad guys.

With Aquaman, the goofy part is seeing people talking clearly underwater, and living their lives under all that heavy water pressure from above beneath the sea without any breathing equipment, and not being slowed down by the water when moving.

That said, this film seems to have the right tone for the trailer here in my view. But yes, the 3D could be something if they invest in it like Marvel does. DC doesn't seem to care too much though about stronger 3D in their films with a couple good exceptions, so I'm not expecting a lot but hope to be surprised.

I think this looks amazing and there is so much great potential for stunning 3D. I'm a sucker for big fantasy movies like this and I love how this will be a standalone story. The production design is very impressive and I love all the various creatures and characters. My expectations are high for the movie, lets hope the 3D delivers too.

AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 is showing the film in IMAX 3D. I expect some venues to show it that way as well.
