How long do people wait for movies to arrive from amazon. I am about to order some movies but I'm not a very patient person.

Depends on a few things.

1. Which shipping you pick?
2. How long Amazon takes to complete your order.

1. I find the Free shipping only take 3 to 4 days after it's ships.
2. Amazon takes anywhere from 1 to 14 days to complete your order. Normally within the first 5 days.

I find most people are not very patient. Honestly I don't know why everything has to be right now.

I just hate knowing that one day my movie will arive and have to check my mailbox and be disapointed that another day goes by without my movie.

It's all about instant gratification with society today. We are used to being catered to and don't like having to wait... it's sad really, but it's the world we live in.

could be you are just closer to where they are shipping from... but your right there are tons of factors... id rather pay 2-5 more to get it right at the store then wait for it and save that much online.

I like saving money. Last time I check, I have 70 Blu-rays and my average cost is about 14.95 a Blu-ray ( this is including Planet Earth)

I don't have to buy and watch a movie when it first comes out, so I don't have a problem waiting.

Yes, it's very sad that most people have no patient.

They tend to complain more.

Doesn't anyone remember how it used to take 6 to 8 weeks for things to be delivered if you ordered them through the mail? Anyway, this is exactly why more people buy from stores and not from Amazon. They want it the day it is released. I will even pay a few bucks more if I can pick it up at the store right now than have to wait for Amazon shipping.

My patience has grown with age. Money is most important (saving it). I'll gladly wait a few days or even a week to save a couple bucks.

If I was a kid, it might be different. But us adults (especially professionals) have busy lives and it's easy to let days fly by.

With Amazon I usually do the free shipping. Now and then I'll pay for the regular shipping, but that's rare.

I don't have PRIME and never will. That's $80 a year in my pocket, which is 4-5 more Blu-rays.

I said that as well, once; but I bought something where standard shipping was $60 (next day was $100) so I did the prime thing which paid for itself on one order. Alot depends on what you order from there as to the benefit or lack thereof.

I would rather deal with a couple day wait and not have to pay for tax or shipping, and with Amazon Prime its a 2 day wait if that.

What ever you do dont pick the free shipping unless you dont mind waiting like a week at least. Trust me, is not that it takes long to ship, but the bastards wont proccess your order for like 4 to 5 days after you made it . Now i dont care what you all say, that is just wrong. That's why i refuse to order from them, did it once and got my stuff, but just because of that policy they can kiss my money good bye.
I mean, really why do i have to take my time and sign up for somethign to get faster shipping? I pay for the item what they ask for now ship the damn thing. End of rant.

Right on. It's a total afront to me that they would wait nearly a week to process my stuff just because I'm not paying them extra for preferential treatment. It's like the mafia or something. Here Amazon; here's a little extra to get things done. Wink, Wink. Garrrr! Anyhow, it takes like 4-6 days of order processing on in stock items and then another 4-6 days delivery on free shipping for me.

If shipping is free, why should you be on the same level as somone who has paid extra for faster shipping/handling?

This is the problem with people. They expect FREE to be the same level of quality/service as PAID. Sorry, it does not work that way.

Really, if some people don't want to wait for shipping, just go to a B&M day of release and get it that way. If the shipping is free and you didn't pay a hefty price to get, why complain? Now if you did pay for shipping I could maybe see that, but if not that was your choice. It's almost like people who don't vote and then complain about who is in office.
