Default Brutal Legend - $4.99 at Bestbuy - Why so cheap?

I just placed an order at bestbuy for this game.

All reviews online that I searched were all positive, and for this price I will take a chance on anything But Is there something wrong with this game? Was it not popular despite all the good reviews? I'm not complaining about the price, but was just curious because I've never seen a game this cheap before.

Did anyone play this game before?

It wasn't a BAD game, it just seemed..done...PS2 graphics and a God of War rip off, with annoying Jack Black overtones....4.99 though, that's cheaper than renting it and is indeed worth it for any game I would say

I thought the game was a lot of fun and had lots of replay value. The reason that some people didn't like it was because of the RTS portions which were key battles in the game and how one would play online. The storyline and music grabbed my attention from the beginning and that's why I pre-ordered it from EA. For $30, I thought it was well worth the purchase price.

As for seeing games that cheap before, I've bought a lot of PS3 games for that price or seen them on clearance at $4.99 or cheaper.

This was the very reason why I held out on this game. For about the price of a rental, I decided to give it a shot; if I didn't like it, I can always try to unload it via trade or Amazon Marketplace.

I played through the entire game and it is well worth that low price tag.

A lot of games just don't catch on. Sure, there's a lot of crap like Darkest of Days that just tank from the get go, but good games fail and unique games are harder to sell. Call of Duty: Brutal Legend, on the other hand, would've sold millions!

Yeah, it's a Tim Schafer game meaning instant appeal to all gamers and critics, but mainstream audience will just drop it where it stands.

Probably didnt sold so well because i think the game advertised more as an adventure game and then people realize it was more of an RTS.

But it should be worth more than 4.99

The stage battles are about gathering resources and then producing units to take out the enemy stage.

I didn't like it at all. For 5 bucks it's worth a flyer, but I really really disliked this game.

I remember trying the demo and not liking it all so I'm still going to pass at $4.99.

Absolutely fantastic game. The actual gameplay gets in the way of the story sometimes, but it definitely brings the metal! Pick up Fallout New Vegas for ten as well.

The game was a fun adventure type game. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the RTS battles, I would have prefered something different. But for $4.99 I would say get it.
