Gilmour, never really cared for much of Clapton's stuff though his talent is undeniable.

With much respect to Gilmour voted for Clapton...he covered so many styles. Blues, pop and folk.

Gimour and Clapton are both pioneers, awesome guitar players with style, panache, 1 note will do when it's called for, but in general I think Clapton is somewhat overrated (though he does deserve high praise) and Gilmour is underrated. Gilmour is in my top 3 and he isn't third. Gilmour for the win (I hope )

Floyd is in my top three bands, but I had to cast my vote for Clapton (is God). Nothing against Gilmour at all.

As I've written in another thread, I also think that Clapton is overrated so I'll vote for Gilmour although I'm not the biggest Floyd fan.

I haven't decided yet, but I'm leaning in the direction of Gilmour because I think I prefer his tone/sense of melody/restraint. Gonna have to listen to some tunes directly to decide later, though.

I like Gilmour better. Sorry, but Clapton is a tad bit overrated for me. He's still very talented though.

A little surprised by this one so far. When I started this contest I never thought Gilmour would possibly be making it to the elite 8. I love Gilmour but I never thought of him as top 8 caliber. If he beats Clapton I will consider this one a pretty big upset.

I was never that big a fan of Clapton. I much prefer Pink Floyd and Gilmour. But if it comes to Gilmour versus Howe of Yes, my vote will again be for Steve.

Gilmour for me as well (I'll admit that my bias for Floyd is clouding my rationale )

Hmm, I have to go with Clapton in this one. Anyone who can pork George Harrison's wife and get away with it surely is a Guitar God.

GuitarGod has spoken!!
