Default List your PROPER blu films that are "R" or "Unrated" yet flirt with an "X"...

Basically, which blus do you own that "push the envelope" yet remain "proper" films (no adult films included).

These are the ones that "push the envelope" within my collection yet remain "normal" films...

Showgirls 1995
Camille 2000 1969
The Nude Vampire 1970
A Clockwork Orange 1971 (Actually IS rated X yet it isn't, yet it is...)
Humanoids From The Deep 1980

Midnight Cowboy. Same boat as Clockwork Orange, started out as X, was bounced down to R.

Yeah, that's a famous selection that I forgot about. Although I don't actually own it.

Wow, you really like starting new threads, don't you?

Showgirls is NC-17.

Showgirls is NC-17 and A Clockwork Orange is rated X, so neither qualify based on the title of the thread.
Yeah, just doing my best to add some topics to the discussion. Often the ideas all come at once!

I made mention already of Clockwork being an X yet being listed as an R. You're right about Showgirls but I kinda lump NC-17 into the same grouping. Essentially, I'm just looking for any "proper" film that pushes the envelope but isn't an "adult film".

Yeah, but most of the ideas really should have been left on the cutting room floor. Most of the threads you've started have quickly withered and died, because they're unoriginal, not terribly interesting, and they don't lend themselves to discussions that feel organic rather than contrived.

Surely there are other ways for you to get the attention you crave.

NC-17 is the exact same thing as X used to be - it was simply renamed. Showgirls is not an R-rated film.

Gee, thanks for the kind words. I guess I don't understand where you're coming from. Or what I did that was wrong?

Exhibit A...
That thread died on the vine, just like pretty much all of yours do, for the reasons I mentioned above.

I believe I already apologized for that (if that's the way it came off to you). I apologize once again. It wasn't my intent.

Cool thread. Thanks for putting it up, Popcorn.

I guess Russell Crowe's 1992 "Romper Stomper" would come close to fitting the bill. (Not a Region A Blu, but it's out there; I have the old DVD release.)

Except the dvd and blu ray have the violence cut (the tooth pulling) which would earn them the higher rating.

To the OP: people on this forum (and I'm not saying I necessarily feel this way myself) resent you creating so many threads because the way the board is geared, we normally search for an existing thread and add to the conversation. Which may be a pain, but we're so used to it it's sort of an unspoken rule, there was even a member who would chime in to link OP's to existing threads if theirs were remotely similar. So some of the frustration might be because creating new threads is seen as something not to be done haphazardly. I don't have a problem with you myself, just saying.

Thumbs up

I like coming to the board and finding interesting new topics, instead of the same old threads being dragged on ad nauseam with:

I got X at X price!
I got shipping notice!
Does come with slipcover?
Is ITunes compatible?
Region B version better! By whole 2 percent!

That last one is especially tiresome, as someone who doesn't import. So, no problem with new members starting new threads.
