Default Dedicated Theatre Room

Hey , i have a dedicated room for movies and watching hd sports in the basement.

I took some new pictures today, which turned out a bit better then the old ones. I'm still trying to get some better shots.

There is still some spots i want to upgrade , center speaker stand,amp,a/v rack . Eventually a projector and screen.

As for audio gear goes, Paradigm all around.

Paradigm Studio 60
Paradigm CC-690
Paradigm Esprit/Bp (bipolar)
Velodyne DPS-10

So I finally decided on some suitable seating for downstairs and am going to go with Berkline Sydney 2 of them. Also would like to add another matching sub when i can find one somewhere in Canada. Ive been looking for awhile.

Lastly want to add an amp for the front soundstage, likely Emotiva xpa-3 or a if not that then a Rotel 1080 or 1075 whichever i come across.

Thanks just wanted to share.

rick

Great setup man... Love your choice in speakers, makes me want to replace at least my centre sooner than later...

Only thing I would change is the futon which it sounds like your doing....

Great job!

Yeah that futon is going. We just moved in the new place in October and since the move with christmas and moving expenses i haven't been able to look into seating until now.

Im getting excited thinking about new seating though.

Really nice clean setup. (Wish mine was that clean looking).

I have a couple questions for you.

1. What did that centre set you back my fellow Canadian? Paradigm is Canadian isn`t it?

2. Would you mind telling me where you got those movie racks from? I would love to pick one up.

Hey there thanks for taking the time to comment. The center i found online used along with the studio 60s , for the center and the two towers i paid 2000$ which i thought was a decent deal.

I found a place in St. Catherines (Gibbys Audio) which have these models of speakers going for 1999.99 for the towers and 1399.99 for the center. so i think i found a decent deal.

The cabinets are from ikea and were i think 59-79$ and were orginally used to store my action figures but thought they held the blus and dvds nice and looked pretty good.

Your theatre room will be taken to another level once you get your berklines...crazy...it's nice to see these transformations! Wish i could pick some of those up for our seating but they are not ideal for living room scenarios...basically the wife would kill me heh...

Anyhow, excellent job man. What could be better then a home theatre that looks and sounds better then your local metropolis!!!

Im not sure what youre talking about , or where youre from. Look around the internet they are lots of deals everywhere. If youre from Canada try canukaudiomart, if you are from the u.s. try audiogon, Craiglist also>? im not sure.

I think they are from IKEA. They look just like they ones I had to pick up for my dad for his work.
