Default Mill Creek Touchstone/Hollywood Pics Releases - Oct 11, 2011

Does anyone have an update on the reported Aug 30th wave of Mill Creek releases?

INDIAN SUMMER
BOYS
FUNNY BONES
CAMP NOWHERE
THE WRONG GUY
ASPEN EXTREME
CEMETERY CLUB
HEARTBREAK HOTEL
CROSSING THE BRIDGE
ANGIE
DISORGANIZED CRIME

They are all listed on the Mill Creek website, but no info or release date, and I can't find any of them up for pre-order on amazon.com, or deepdiscount.com. Are these going to be retailer exclusives again? If so - where?

I sort of wish there was one thread for these Mill Creek Hollywood/Touchstone Pictures titles (not including individual ones that get created for a specific notable title.. a new one gets created for every different bunch that comes out).

Mill Creek has started to put them up on their site and the ones currently listed have a date of October 11 so the earlier date is probably an exclusive of some sort (Amazon.ca was where they were first spotted).

I'll go for..

Indian Summer (thankfully already list stating in its OAR)
Camp Nowhere
Wrong Guy, The
Funny Bones
Aspen Extreme (their site says in its 2.35:1 OAR but I thought it was 1.85.. edit, they've corrected it to 1.85:1 now)
Crossing the Bridge

Ditto. Although eventually they'll release a few more titles I'm interested in.

I suspect these titles will be the next wave to hit the $5.00 bin at Walmart.

I sure wont buy any of them.

Looks like the new batch as been delayed to 10-11 according to Mill Creek's site (at least INDIAN SUMMER says 10-11).

These were released on DVD only when Mill Creek released their first batch of blu-rays. There really wasn't anything I wanted in the first batch of blu-rays (though I did end up picking up most of them for $3 or $4 each), but I did want several of these titles! So glad they went back to put these on blu-ray!

I am definitely buying:
Heartbreak Hotel
Camp Nowhere
Indian Summer
Aspen Extreme

And I'll probably pick up the rest if they drop to $3 or $4 like the previous Mill Creek blu-rays.

I still want to pick up:
Ernest Scared Stupid
Baby: Secret Of The Lost Legend
The Ties That Bind
The War At Home

But my local Wal-Mart didn't carry these, so I guess I have to wait a little longer.

Are these going to be released in the US? I keep checking Amazon, but no pre-order info is out there. I really want Aspen Extreme, I am stuck with the crappy non-anamorphic first DVD release

I don't think I've ever seen any of these movies. I'll probably be in for Camp Nowhere, Indian Summer, & Aspen Extreme though. They look decent. Can't go wrong at $5 (I'm assuming they'll be that much again).

"Indian Summer" is a movie that I have always loved but somehow have never picked up on home media before... I'll have to grad it when the blu comes out and "Camp Nowhere" depending on the $$

Disorganized Crime is probably one of the better comedies that came out in the 80's! Great cast, hilarious plot and just an over all great movie. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet

The Angie laserdisc had a bunch of extras that weren't carried over to the dvd. I doubt they'll be ported over to the blu-ray. I also doubt anyone will care, but still, if Martha Coolidge did an audio commentary, it should be included.

Aspen Extreme is a pretty decent film but it's not Academy Awards or one of the best films to watch. I purchased the DVD years ago and decided to watch it just to check it out and it's a decent movie. Probably the only one I'll be purchasing.

Nice find. Commentary, deleted scenes and a making of featurette (production stills and trailer also).

I saw the film years ago and thought it was okay. I would definitely be up to buying this one just to see those extras as I didn't even know they existed until you mentioned them.

Even if Mill Creek might be open to that type of info, way too late to pass it along to them.

I was hoping that the hot chick would be on this list but I'm disappointed it's not. I've been wanting this one on BD.

Camp Nowhere!!! SOOOO happy this is getting a release, but I think its going to be pushed back to October 11th.. Amazon has it available then, maybe BB will have an early release for this like they did for Don't Be A Menace and some other titles... either way I can't believe i just found out about this news now! Bring on Heavy Weights, Surf Ninjas and Leave it to Beaver to complete some of my childhood favorites!
