Did anyone of u buy from gohastings?

I found some nice cheap used BDs on the site but I want to know:

1) There used BDs are Ex-Rentals or Pre-owned?
2) If 2 or 3 BDs ordered at the same time will they send all BDs in one shipment or separately?

I ordered from them for the first time a few days ago when they had a one day half price sale. They have both ex-rentals which they call previously viewed and pre-owned which they call used. Seems like they ship seperatly even when two things ordered at the same time ship from the same location.

I have ordered from them about a dozen times through Amazon and not once have I had an issue with discs. Their product descriptions usually are understated meaning the disc and cover are in better shape then described by them at Amazon.

As a matter of fact I just received Band of Brothers on Blu-ray from them for a good price and shippping times have always been excellent. Usually I receive the "Your item has shipped" on the first business day after goHastings has received the order. Their packaging is not bad either.

If it's listed as used, it is previously owned. PV (previously viewed) is a rental. From my numerous gohastings orders, I've only had one order of 3 shipped together in the same package. Normally they come from different locations.

In response to your second question, I often receive items I purchased together in different shipments a couple days apart. It's never bothered me, though.

I cant take the risk as I need all items shipped together always because I have to pay then for re shipment to my country! If ya guys know any other online stores that sell used BDs and ship all together in one package please do share.

My problem is that I will have to pay for each shipment because I will have all items reshipped to me here in UAE!

I dunno about the UAE, but here in the States, Hastings charges 2.28$ per item shipped regardless of whether it's combined with other items or not.

Kashif, I am from Dubai as well and have ordered previously from go hastings.

1) Blu's are in ok condition. It really varies. Some look brand new, others look a little worn out. Slipcovers are usually not pretty.

2) Ordering 2 to 3 blu's is not a good idea. Most likely, they will arrive separately and you will end up incurring some high freight charges. I am guessing you use Aramex Shop and Ship.

My recommendation is to wait. Few days back, go hastings had the 3 for $21 sale and I bought something like 21 blu-rays. So many blu-rays means they will all arrive within 2 to 3 days of each other. Even if all of them don't go out in one shipment, you still end up saving. Two days back they have 50% off (which I missed out on ) in which you could have scored high again. Right now, wait for another deal to come up and then go crazy

I use Shopandship and happy with their service but the thing which is very very bothering is that they dont combine shipments! Do u know any other services like shop and ship which provides service to combine shipments? I also use to purchase from online store Souq but they are very pricey at souq and I think all over UAE. Any tip regarding buying BDs in UAE would be very helpful for me! like other local online stores except souq or other service like shopandship!

1) I use shop and ship as well. They do combine shipments but it all has to arrive in their facility on the same day.
2) There are other options as well but I haven't tried them so I don't know. If you try them, let me know
3) You can see my collection. You know how many of them I bought from UAE? Zero, nada, zilch. Not even ONE blu-ray was purchased from UAE. If you were to buy just one blu-ray from amazon and ship it here, it would still end up being cheaper than the atrocity that is souq.com.
4) The best store to buy from? Amazon.co.uk. They have pretty much the best prices all around and you don't have to worry about region coding (assuming you have a region B player). You will see many new blu-rays on amazon.co.uk which approach the prices of the used hastings blu-rays. Once you factor in shipping, hastings might actually turn out to be more expensive. If I was to restart my collection today, amazon.co.uk would be the one place I would freak out massively.
