Question I need a universal remote, which I choose?

I need a universal remote control, lately i used a program for the iPap 2 but im not happy with it.
You can give me some idea? Brand name, model...
I need also to control the home automation (lights and curtains for example) and preferably a touch remote control.

PS: No problem with the price.

If price is no problem I'd suggest finding your local Crestron or Control4 dealer.

Other remotes that would be a step above the harmony remotes would be URC or Pronto remotes, again, if price isn't a concern look up some local installers in your area I am sure you can find someone willing to work with you.

Any of these solutions would start at $1k and climb rapidly whereas even the best DIY harmony approach will surely top out <$500

How about the Sony Tablet S? It has a built in IR sensor.

With the need for home automation, does that mean you need the remote to have RF capability?

That's not a remote in the traditional sense... It's a wall panel... If you're looking for a wall panel I'd say it is a fine wall panel.

I have never used them but there is also RTI and Nevo

As for Pronto, unfortunately (since they where the best remotes IMHO), Philips discontinued the line up almost a year ago and in weeks, if not days, all the inventory disappeared, so I doubt he can get that

It depends on your equipment location along with whether or not you want to do the programming.

If you don't have the ability or desire to program, URC, RTI, and C4 are great remotes that your dealer programs for you. They both also offer plenty of RF or zigbee options if your equipment is out of sight.

If you want to control lights and/or temp they all have different ways to do it. The easiest if you are serious about automation is C4, they make the switches, thermostats, etc to make it pretty easy.

C4 is a bit different though in that until you get proficient you will be using an on-screen menu system.

I have an RTI and love it, URC is very similar.
