Muriel's Wedding - 20th Anniversary - 1080i?

So currently watching the disc... just a heads up - although its the best Ive seen it - its 1080i. Not that that's a huge issue... look wise - reminds me of somewhere between early & current Warner transfers. Which leads me to believe that its an old master converted to AVC. Grain visible but not crazy and not scrubbed (Like early Warner/New Line). Also (to my ear) Audio has pitch change which I assume is due to PAL speedup. I know ABBA, and know how ABBA sounds - and pitch slightly higher. Again - not huge issue. Cover States 1080p/1:78:1... but in reality 1080i/50i 1:85:1.

Not the greatest example as all done within iPhone. So no after edit. Waterloo was never in a perfect 'D' to begin with but now its currently become a not so perfect 'Eb'. CD audio is the (Atlantic/Warner) ABBA Greatest Hits from 1984. For example purposes only.

Its quite ironic that I would still recommend release - but I do - even with previous posts. As I said - best i've seen it. It could be worse... 1080i doesn't always equal bad. I'm just disappointed in Village Roadshow - the film deserves better. It's a nice picture... just the audio.... Put it this way - ive heard all these damn ABBA songs way to much that hearing them slightly different - for me - was probably for the better. If anything I'm probably so used to the PAL DVD/VHS sound from over the years that I'm content with how is.... for now. Not perfect - but recommended. Such a great film with lines I still quote to this day. 20 bloody years.

I've seen plenty of 1080i releases that look fine. Not a huge deal breaker for me.

Pitch change from what previous experience? It's not like you would have heard the track in any other format aside from DVD.

I can notice it on soundtracks and in voices.
