Awesome news again!!

I remember you mentioned that Love & Honor was released by a different company in HK. Would you know which company this would be and if they've released blurays previously?

Asia Video. AV handled the release of Evangelion 2.22 in HK. AV have also done a number of other live action titles, but they have not been English friendly.

A poster in the Twilight Samurai thread said Funimation is going to release L&H soon. I haven't seen any news about it, but if true, that would be the version to possibly wait for.

Got my copy today. PQ looks a bit better than TS from initial look. Subtitles seem good. AQ is Japanese TrueHD 5.1 (16bit). No extras. BD25. Hope to get a better look at it in the within the week.

Coverart has been updated as well.

Can't bring myself to double dip on these after dropping so much on the DVDs.

These films are very good, though.

Can you by any chance post some pics of the disc and packaging and all that? I'm a sucker for seeing that stuff.

Watched the disc today. Very solid disc.

PQ is a slightly better than "Twilight Samurai". Blacks are still a bit washed out, but they are stronger than TS. Detail and colors are very good. No EE or DNR, although the image can be a bit soft at times.

AQ is incredibly. Dialogue is easy to hear and the music is just beautifully replicated with the TrueHD track.

Subtitles are also improved from TS. Only once did the subtitles appear too soon and another scene the word "be" had a space between it ("b e"). Other than that they are fine. Punctuation was improved, with each sentence ending in a period, exclamation, question mark or ellipsis branching multiple sentences together.

Highly recommend this release.

I will if I can find my camera, which seems to enjoy disappearing...
The slipbox and the cover for the Blu-ray are the same. The interior art is the scene where
[Show spoiler]the cannon if fired for the first time
.

Now those are the kind of details I love. Thanks.

Heard about the Tartan version coming out but still bought the HK since it was like ten dollars cheaper and also because the Tartan release of Election 1/2 and Jiang Hu was a travesty
