Default Sammy Plasma 3D suggestions

Too lazy to do any research...so was wondering whats on the top tier of the Sammy plasma 3D list? My friend seems keen on going LED but I am trying to bring him to the plasma fold.

Too lazy to provide an answer.

Why Samsung and not Panasonic?

Samsung - PND7000 or PND8000

Panasonic - ST30, GT30, VT30

Aha! I'm not too lazy to reply to that! His heart is set on Sammy. The idea is to get him to accept plasma first and then un-brand him from Sammy.

I personally would rather support Japan (Panasonic) than S Korea (Samsung).

Definitely VT30. If you can't get him to go plasma then you should get him onto the sharp elite. That seems to be the serious choice when it comes to LED. Full array/local dimming unlike the edge-lit samsung.
Like I say though the VT30. A mighty fine set and that's before you turn it on.

I'd advise him to go with the VT30 as well.

Sharp Elite, better make sure his checkbook is ready for it...

Anywho, D7000 is a great choice, Im enjoying mine. Plasma rankings by a few calibrators has shapped like this for the year:

VT30
7000/8000 (59" and 64)
GT30
ST30
7000/8000 (51")

I was a big Panny guy and tried to push everyone their way, like some of the guys in this thread. After owning the D7000, Panasonic has lost my business.

The D7000 is the better choice. If he wants panasonic go with the ST30. I have mine since February and the PQ is excellent.
