Exclamation Why Isn't There A SteelBook Discussion Thread? Well Now There Is!

I searched and searched but surprised to find that there isn't one.
So lets get this started!

First bit of discussion, how rare or costly are the Resident Evil SteelBooks? I missed out on the chance to get them when they were new. Is $12 a good deal for one used with no dents or scratches?

Oh yeah, it is a great price. Walmart US had them for $8.00 a couple of months ago when they were clearing them out. The cheapest you will find them for in Canada is $20.00 plus taxes. Ebay will cost even more.

I just asked about the RE steels in the Deal thread (didn't want to bump each specific thread).. do any stores online sell them (Int Shipping)?

They were Walmart US exclusives and Canadian Futureshop exclusives. I don't believe they are available online or in store now. eBay or the trade forum are probably your best bets.

The reason there isn't a generic thread is because most people don't use it. They go straight to the titled thread.

I think I'm saying out loud what a lot of people think but I can be wrong. one thing for sure here I am replying in a useless Resident Evil thread. (without RE in the title)

How is it an RE thread? It was merely a coincidence that two users including myself inquired about a Resident Evil SteelBook around the same time. I think there is too many threads for the steels, its need centralized one to discuss everything about them...not just prices.

i agree with tiger this thread is useless you could've used the specific thread to discuss that steelbook. There is a reason this thread never existed and the fact you had to bump it shows no one wants to use it.

I don't think this thread is useless. When people pick up and watch new movies, they show it off at the Official Movie Megathread, they don't go to that specific movie's thread. We could discuss steelboks in the same generic fashion.

For example...last steelie I got was the German "Judge Dredd," and I love it.

That's where you're all wrong buddy, whenever I need an information on a certain steelbook I use the advanced search function and find what I need really fast. I don't want to go through a bunch of pages in threads that don't lead anywhere.
