Default Your favorite movie all time

If you had to just pick one movie as your favorite, what would it be?

For me, it's Star Wars Episode V : The Empire Strikes Back.

I think I was 8 when I watched it.

The opening of this video explains my view perfectly

Rocky!

Always has been, always will be. Many come close, especially Rambo, Jaws and Star Wars but Rocky is it.

Lost In Translation / Taxi Driver / Evil Dead 2...these are the first three that rattle around in my brain...but I may need to go with Lost In Translation

Halloween (1978) with Eraserhead a very close second.

I can't never decide, but it's definetly one of these three:

Goodfellas
The Empire Strikes Back
Taxi Driver

This question has always been like asking, "Who is your favorite son or daughter?".

I find it really hard to answer a question like this. Am I the only one?

Mothman Prophecies, because I hated this movie and I'd probably kill myself if I watched it again and who wants to live in a world where you can only have 1 movie to watch over and over and over

Blade Runner. I've even got a little section in my room (HERE) dedicated to my various copies of it, plus the soundtrack and a couple of books. It's since been reshuffled somewhat and I'm sure it'll expand with the release of the 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition, assuming Warner UK don't continue to delay it.

Blade Runner The Final Cut is the correct answer whenever this question is asked and will always be the correct answer.

You are now my best friend!

THE JERK is the best movie of all time and it is a tragic shame that it is not out on blu-ray - properly restored of course!!

2001: A Space Odyssey

There was nothing like it when it was released and that still holds true 44 years later. It addressed universal-scale philosophical issues, and the special effects - created before the advent of CGI - are still equal to or better than those of current sci-fi movies.
