I know...I'm worried we might never see it on blu-ray...yet I was hoping a big release next year for the films 40th Anniversary (it was released 12-12-1972) would be a nice gift from FOX...guess we can hope for a miracle!

Good news on The Poseidon Adventure - thank you for sharing that news from Fox. Universal's Earthquake may turn up a little later - released 1974 - nevertheless, well worth waiting for, too.

Yes...A Poseidon Adventure 40th Anniversary addition would make this wait all worthwhile! Anxious to see Linda Rogo climb the ladders and Shelley do her swim in full HD! haha

I can't wait . I was so disappointed they didn't release this with The Towering Inferno a couple of years ago. I still have the lousy first DVD release.

This is THE title I have been waiting for! The original dvd was horrible! Bad picture and bad sound. The special edition 2 disc set that they released a few years ago was a great improvment. But yes, I want the blu ray picture quality and 5.1 surround sound. This was the highest grossing movie of 1973 and has a huge fan base, and I knew it would be released SOMETIME! I was an extra in the New Year's Eve party scene and I can't wait to see myself in hi-def!!!!!
