Default Clash of the Titans 3

And now, in WTF news:

Warner Brothers Gives Green Light to 'Clash 3'

Quote:
Titans will clash for the third time, if Warner Bros. has its way.

The studio, which is in post-production with Legendary Pictures on Clash of the Titans sequel Wrath of the Titans, is developing the next installment of the tales inspired by the Greek myths, even though Wrath doesn’t open until March 30, 2012.

Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson, who co-wrote Wrath’s screenplay with Steven Knight and also share story credit with Greg Berlanti, have been enlisted to develop and write a treatment for the threequel, which would continue the adventures of Perseus, played by Sam Worthington.
Insiders say that Agenor, a sidekick-like character played by Toby Kebbell, may also figure into the new story, as the second movie leaves the door open for the character’s return.

The producing team behind Wrath, Basil Iwanyk and Polly Johnsen among it, would return for the new installment should it go forward as would Wrath Jonathan Liebesman, though no deals are in place.
Source

I know the studio gave the go ahead on a 3rd 'Sherlock' film, but this is just ('Wrath' isn't even completed yet).

Also, the title of the film will probably change in time, maybe something similar to the second film. Perhaps 'Death of the Titans'.

The first one was so so...I hope there's a lot of improvements in the second one to justify this.

Wrath of the Titans is 5 months out and we have no teaser or anything really. This is odd, right? If they are thinking the Wrath is good enough to justify a 3rd why not begin advertising Wrath?

I hope both sequels turn out better than Clash. That movie was just beyond terrible.

If the studio can control themselves and not interfere and retcon the story last minute like they did with Clash this movie might be decent.

As long as Wrath is better than Clash, then I'm on board for the third. The first was so, so meh...Which I never thought I'd feel like with a movie like that, and especially with the cast. I still want to see the fabled Director's Cut...

"Their" way?
We're the audience, and to quote Lewis Carroll's Red Queen, all "ways" around here are OUR ways.

...Let's just not jump the gun and wait to look at those Clash 2 numbers first, m'kay?

The Clash of the Titans remake starring: Sam Worthington, was a remake, not a sequel to the original Clash of the Titan (1981). So actually this production will be the first sequel, not the third.

I own both versions of Clash of the Titans, but the remake was a bit messy. I don't hold much hope that the sequel will be much better, let alone the third.

They are filming the second of the rebooted Clash of the Titans as we speak and have already green lit to do a 3rd film. So its a triology.

I wouldn't call Clash of the Titans a trilogy, because the second installment is not even released yet. When the third sequel officially begins pre-production, then it'll be a trilogy. Anything can happen in the meantime that may cause unforeseeable cancellations, or postponements!

This. If we can get an extended version with the original ending, I'd be a happy camper. Hopefully, WB will release this to tie in Wrath.

Agreed. At least the BD looks pretty damn good & mainly SOUNDS Excellent. Amazing Audio, tremendous LFE, especially the end when that thing came out of the Ocean & when it toppled down. Thought my roof was coming down!

Note to Brett Ratner:
Please...please...in the name of humanity...reconsider and do the God of War movie.

Not that I particularly want to see a Kratos movie, but after seeing the trailer for "Immortals", the longer we don't get one, the more dancing-around-the-copyright-edge claim-jumpers we'll get trying to feed on the lack of one.
One solid licensed movie in production, and a few good lawyers, can shut down a HUNDRED cheesy all-but-name wannabes--Is that too much to ask?

(I mean, do you think Peter Jackson sleeps well at night, having to shut down the Halo movie, and indirectly giving us all those three dozen crappy urban-alien-invasion ripoffs?)

If you're talking about District 9...that movie is 10x better than a Halo movie would or could ever be :/

Not sure if I can agree that it's that much better than a Halo movie under Jackson's supervision would've been, but I do agree that D9 is an amazing film. It quickly became one of my favorites after two viewings (one at the theater). Now Skyline, Battle LA, and so on, I won't say the same for.

Now you're getting it...
Any franchise movie that looks like it's going to be "presold" makes the imitators think they have to beat it to the post--And if the movie is well-known to be cancelled, that leaves field wild, wide-open and wooly for anyone to fill in the sales vacancy with their own home-grown version, to within a reasonable approximation of what they believed the story was going to be, so long as it doesn't step on any specific copyrights.

So far, we've had four attempts at believing that God of War would look like 300, six attempts at giving us Halo-armed soldiers, and one knockoff of the Rock-Em Sock-Em Robots movie that Hasbro turned down.

I disagree. Denzel Washington as The Master Chief would've been freaking AWESOME!
