Target is continuing with The Walking Dead Steelbooks. Season 5 steelbook is listed on their website. I don't know how to post a link or artwork. It lists coming soon but I saw Season 5 announced for Aug 25, 2015. It lists Target exclusive steelbook & Bonus exclusive content- "Walkers In The Water" featurette.

Good to see Target is sticking with the steel releases for Dead. Will definitely be picking this up.

About time! I had actually looked at Target's website about 1am EST last night, on the off chance I might find something about this, though there was nothing on their site at that time.

Since it was around this time last year and the year before when seasons 3 and 4 were announced, I was hoping we'd hear something soon...

Can't wait for this. Also still hoping for steelbooks for seasons 1 and 2. Those would be double dips, but they'd be worth it.

Only five of these at open this morning, and four had spine slashes.

The manager was stocking them and he handed me two, they both had slashes so I sighed and handed them back, telling him they were damaged. I showed him and he said, "oh just that?" he handed me two others, also slashed. I told him it's a huge issue with his store and he said "I didn't open these boxes"

One of them was so slashed that it actually bent the metal spine up, and he still put it out for sale. I love Target, but hate it so much for these types of things at times.

There was only two that I could find at the one that I work at. I got one for my fiancee. We don't have cable, so, I've been buying her all the seasons. Well, except three and four. Still need to buy those.

I never seen so many steel books with spline slashes this time around. Out of the six only 2 didn't have it. So watch out guys

Well I ran into the usual incompetence at the Target I go to where nobody has any idea what or where the store exclusive is, thus once again turning a 3 minute stop into 10+ minutes (making me late to work in the process).

Thankfully my copy had no damage. Seems this is the one thing they actually manage not to screw up since I've never encountered a steelbook with a slash on it at this location!

Yeah, the Target I went to had 3 out and 2 of them had spine slashes.

I stopped at the Target by me on Tuesday morning at opening and no Steelbooks out. I asked the guy in the department to check and they came out with a box of 10 and cut the box open with box cutter and slashed all but the ones under the second flap of the box. He handed me one of the slashed ones and had him swap it out for one with no slash.
The only nice thing about this trip was no coffin crush because I was there early.

you do know that they can't put a jumbo steelbook inside a security case right ?

I was the feeling the steelbook to make sure there was no dents or anything. I thought it had some weird bumps but it was just the glue they use to keep the card on lol. I droped it but bought it anyways since it was the only one without a spine slash.
