Default Hey Bud, Let's Party!! Your favorite teen 80's movie!

As a child of the 80's (well, really 70's, but I don't want to admit to being THAT old), I have many fond memories of taking my 1975 Hornet down to the video store and renting a NEW RELEASE on VHS (Be KIND and REWIND!). Movie execs soon realized the potential cash flow in this new medium at started producing more movies that appealed to teenagers(I made that up, I really have no idea why, but it sounds plausible). The Brat Pack was born. Some of these actors grew up and had very successful careers -

others, not so much -

So, kids tell me what is your favorite 80's teen flick? Let's make this fun it's time to dance!!

I just recently saw Last American Virgin and loved it. I'm a huge fan of all the teen films from the 80s. I figured I would throw that rare one in there since it won't be a rehash of so many of the more popular titles.

This.

So much this. Still holds up well to this day, and is relatable for any teenager out there.

And one that doesn't get much love, but I really like:

The Karate Kid is, without a doubt, the best movie of the 80's. Period. Go back and watch and tell me I'm wrong. If you disagree with me...

The Breakfast Club is a very close second.

[Show spoiler]Just kidding. It's not that close.

Yeah, that's a great one. Has great music too! Probably will never see the light of day on BD unfortunately.

edit: Hey that reminds me of another great movie:

Does Back to the Future count? If so, Back to the Future. If not, still Back to the Future.

Back to the Future.

I didn't like these movies when I was a teenager in the 80s and I pretty much hate them now.

That said:

Edit: Though it looks like somebody beat me to it.

Better Off Dead is a criminally underrated movie.
