Blu-ray Count

Used a free rental code at Redbox to check out the DVD. The instant it was over, walked straight to my car and drove directly to Target to buy the Blu-ray. Its depiction of a werewolf is literally the best I’ve ever seen in a genre pregnant with other examples. Furthermore, its focus on the “damned if you do, damned if you don’t, can’t please everyone all at the same time” stress of a divorced dad juggling a daughter (with a total b-word ex-wife as an excruciating co-parent) alongside an aging parent (though, thankfully, in my case, not with major health issues) all while trying to bring a degree of excellence to a highly demanding job role speaks to me. Really loved this one and I’m always amazed to find surprises like this in such tired and clichéd genres.
