Italian distributors 01 Distribution are set to release on Blu-ray Mario Martone's highly acclaimed Noi Credevamo a.k.a We Believed (2010), starring Luigi Lo Cascio, Toni Servillo, Valerio Binasco, and Francesca Inaudi. Earlier this year, the film won seven David di Donatello Awards (the Italian Oscars), including Best Film and Best Cinematography (Renato Berta). Street date is December 14th.

Based on Anna Banti's novel, the 170-minute long We Believed tells the story of three boys from the South as they witness the tragic events and conflicts that preceded the Italian unification.

Note: A 205-minute version of We Believed was screened at the Venice Film Festival.

It came up on my amazon.it search for Luca zingaretti ( I am a fan of his Montalbano series) does it have english subtitles ?
