Default Yamaha RX-V371 Audio Sync Issues

I have noticed audio sync issues with every BD I've watched. My PS3 is connected to the receiver via HDMI In and the receiver is connected to my TV through its HDMI Out port. To make sure it is a receiver problem, I connected my PS3 directly to my television to see if the sync issues persisted. They do not. Also note that there are no sync issues when using the RCA connections on my satellite receiver to my audio receiver.

What could be causing this problem?

No one has any ideas on what is causing the rampant sync issues?

Sometimes a miscompatibility between HDMI connections, does it occur every single time? Do you swtch source and then turn on device or vice-versa?

Have you tried another HDMI cable? Do you have a Lip Synch option on this receiver as I cannot download the manual as I would need to register on their website but at least this gove you some things to look at.

It happens every time. I usually turn on my devices and then change the source on my television.

I bought an HDMI cable from Amazon to see if that would correct the problem, but that cable did not work at all. I sent it back.

There's a lip sync feature, yes. Even on auto its out of sync. I can manually fix it, but that fix doesn't work for every Blu-ray.

The problem was... THE USER.

I forgot about bitstream and the "1080p 24 Hz Output (HDMI)" setting. I turned the former on and the latter off. I feel like a complete imbecile.
