Just checked, the TureHD core is 7.1, it's 48kHz. I did chack the video bitrate as well it's seems to stay around 30Mbps, when I checked the US Diamond edition it fluctuated a lot more going quite low to over 30Mbps on the same scene.

I believe that the Dolby Digital core for an Atmos movie is always 7.1.

Well, on Amazon and CD Japan, they listed it as Dolby Atmos TrueHD 5.1

AFAIK, in cinemas, the Atmos mix can have three sound beds. 5.1, 7.1 or 9.1

Seeing how Chicago is a fairly old movie with an original 5.1 track in the past, and the unclear information on the sales website, I was curious to know if there's a Blu-ray with a 5.1 TrueHD core.

Another thing I recently discovered is that the home version of Dolby Atmos could go up to 96 kHz sampling rate. And one of Chicago's previous Blu-ray release had a 96 kHz track. So again, very curious.

I know the home version can be a different production from cinema version. But I'm just ever so curious. So I apologize if I irritate anyone here. And I appreciate every information shared on this forums. :-)

Got this one from CDJapan.

The Fullslip is quite classy and sturdy with steelbook-worthy artwork. The Digipak too, is good, though a notch below the slip when it comes to overall quality. Also, the inside art is different from the image provided on top of the thread. Coming to the disc, the AV quality here is spectacular beyond any doubt. All menus are Japanese though, and the extras seem to be similiar to the first edition (from Disney) with the 142-min retrospective documentary from the Diamond Edition nowhere in sight.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Atmos activity? I own the US 7.1 BLU would you recommend the Atmos upgrade or is it not that noticeable?
