Default R.I.P. Mirage

While checking for new technology (we have to keep up to date), I ran into a bit of sad news, Mirage as a speaker company no longer exist. Here's a link that let me in on the news. http://www.hometheater.com/content/a...e-jamos-mirage

The omnipolar tech will live on and be incorportated into the Jamo speaker line.

Sad news indeed, Man API put out great product while they owned Mirage, Energy and Athena and now Audiovox by acquiring Klipsch is just killing things if you ask me, rebranded Jamo speakers into Energy ouf. Plus they disolved Mirage.

THey killed Accoustic research when the acquired them, now they only make cables and accessories under that brand.

I wonder what happens with the Mirage OMD line being sold by Vanns? Closeout pricing? Wildly discounted OMD-28's?

I'm still wating to jump on the 28's, and I will, even if the line is discontinued.

I've got a pair of bookshelf speakers from them that I snagged from the dump.

They were tagged for garage sale but I guess they didn't sell.

They match the Paradigm titans I use in my 5.1 system so they sit in back making it 7.1.

Same driver configuration and maybe identical drivers.

They will live on here...

I spoke with Vann's, they do not anticipate reducing the cost of the OMD-28's any further.

However, there is a possibility that they may show up as a "Daily Deal" offering.

That's a bummer. OMD 28's would be nice but would be next year at the earliest I could even consider them. Oh well.
