Default Speaker mounts for Polk Audio Monitor 30 surrounds

Hey Guys,

I am looking for a pair of mounts i can use for my monitor 30s mounted on the wall...i found a pair but the holes didn't line up on the back of the speaker...can i drill new holes into the speaker or should i not do that? Any ideas?

You can have this kind of bracket .



or the one like these and yes you can drill new holes .

I can vouch for the second one. I used the B-Tech BT77 with my JBL HT5s in my old system. Very good bracket.

will the monitor 30's work with the monoprice mounts? most of those types of mounts say they can handle a max of 9 lbs and the monitor 30's are 9 lbs...would that be pushing it?

They stated that can hold 10lb's so you really need to tight them well on the wall and speaker . Some speaker company's like Axiom sell the same kind of bracket to there speaker's that cost 5 times more than the 30's . I have the same kind of bracket on my surrounds and they weight more than 10lb's .

Thanks for the info. I might have to get me a pair of the monoprice mounts...I really like the other ones too but they are a pretty big price jump!
