Default Steelbooks of rarity and epic prices

Ok, before i get called blah, blah, blah scalper, blah. Please note this thread isn't for discussion of future titles that will reach rarity etc to the heights of FS Iron Man but if you talk about it ITT your not gonna get a firing squad, at leats by me

So what are the rarest steelbooks and the ones that are so difficult to get hold of? Not all obviously will also rank highly in the price stake either so this is a two ranking system.

1) Rarity - Limited production numbers etc
2) Price - Reached sky high prices even if they had higher production numbers than other titles

Now, don't think this thread helps scalpers one bit considering this is the past and prices are so hiked up anyway lol.

I don't know many...

Maybe ''Thor'' release?
Or HMV '"Drive'' release? (Eventually?)

I know this one:

Sucker Punch comic con steelbook (900 made or so). It sells for $150+.

And Chronicle might become expensive too. It is OOP & OOS now. Immediately after that I managed to buy some of them for like €20,00 via eBay (sealed) and now they're allready asking 35 - 60 euro's...

Without mentioning the obvious title like IM FS etc I'd say :

Romeo and Juliet china release
Moulin rouge china release
sucker punch SDCc
Ultraviolet G1 German release ( not really expensive but only released in Germany and I have one )

The "Oracle of Steel" has spoken to the greed obsession once more, how can one so wise and knowledgeable not know the answers to life's darkest mysteries and secrets?

Can the solution to neediness be as simple as paying retail plus taxes and shipping and finding those lacking the resourcefulness and wit to find goods absent the middlemen circling above?

What sayeth thee, oh speculators, schemers, and dreamers?

I don't want to discuss any of the current releases and future titles that are kind of 'normal' because very few reach rarity status like i want to find out about. Sucker Punch Comic-Con edition though, thats the one with the comic book artwork right? Seen it and it looks sweet. Saw a member who had it in here, also has a massive collection just for Sucker Punch which looks ace.

Those are some really good titles. Never knew the top two had actually had a steelbook release. What was the artwork like? I would have thought those two would be something special.

Wow, just wow. Goes to show there doesn't have to be anything 'special' beyond limited quantities i guess for price. Artwork is nothing special at all, it's just basical and bare as can be really.

Chinese versions of Moulin Rouge and Romeo and Juliet are considered Ironpacks I believe. Although from a youtube I saw they are very beautiful collectable pieces.

Rambo amazon.de was pulled from circulation shortly after the 1st batch went out. Therefore its rarity is legendary. I think Germany wasn't supposed to get an uncut version or something like that, so Amazon.de pulled it.

Some movies just won't get recognition and high values even with low run numbers. Its not just about how rare it is. Its about how sought after it is too.

I wouldn't say big money for sucker punch. It cost 45 at the con and now they are listed for around 180+ but they aren't selling at that price.

Romeon and Juliet is by hear the most beautiful of the Steelbooks. And in my opinion it doesn't matter if it's steel or metal case. I understand there are differences but it's beyond an epic steel.

Sucker punch has some awesome manga style artwork too. I'll get one some day.

And I too am interested in a sucker punch SDCC if and when you decide to sell them. I'd actually be interested in both

I can't see myself buying a steelbook or in this case a MOVIE for higher than 100 bucks... To me thats just insane, but thats my opinion.

I have alot of other things in life and bills to pay to be spending 200 bucks on a Terminator steelbook or whatever it cost.

Dont get me wrong, i love steelbooks and i am still going to buy them and still do, but i pick wisely and spend wisely. Best thing you can possibly do is buy it on release day before it becomes OOP, that way you dont have to spend 500 bucks on a Iron man

Just because its listed at 180 (as of now) doesnt mean its not selling.

For info.. about March of this year... cost soars up as high as 400 for it.. and were talking less than 2yrs from its production date.
