As the title suggests, I would like you to look at my collection and tell me what you think I could get on e-bay, or here, if I were to sell it all at once.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Please include the "loaned" titles, as I would get them back prior to the sale. Of course, do not include anything in my wishlist. Thanks. ![]() |

I'll have to agree with Blu-Benny on this one, For most pre-owned Blu-ray's your never going to get a lot for them. I say you my have get at least 50-100 bucks for them.

You'll make more money if you sell them individually. It would probably be a lot of work though.
It really depends on the title. I've had some stuff I just can't sell. On the other hand, I sold our Lady and the Tramp 2006 DVD for more than what I bought the Blu-Ray release. |

Probably about $1,200-1,500 (minus ebay/paypal percentages) so you'd be lucky to get $800-1,000 in the end. Selling as a lot really devalues the lot.
Split it up you might get $2k. (Edit: if you feel like splitting a few off, I'd make you an offer on Baccano and Akira) Last edited by SleeperAgent; 02-15-2012 at 04:09 PM. |

Thanks for the input guys.
![]() I was trying to assess the value myself last night, and I placed it at about $3k. But, of course it is my collection and I may value some titles higher than the market does, so I went looking for a third party evaluation, so to speak. ![]() I am not sure if I want to do this. When I began collecting BDs I told myself that I would never sell my BDs for any reason...but, as usual for me, I am in a spot where the money would come in very handy, so I have been tossing the idea around. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for the input all, just for clarification, they are all opened up. Nothing sealed.
All of them are in excellent condition, however, and some have the slips as well. I am still debating weather or not I actually want to do it. One problem I have with doing it is that PayPal limits you to $500.00 transferable to your bank account per month, making it six months to actually collect the money...that really doesn't help me all that much to be honest. ![]() EDIT: I am already starting to get some offers via PMs. Please give me a little bit to think about these, as (like I said) I am still unsure about doing this. Also, I would need to go through my collection to determine what would be a fair price for certain titles. That will probably take some time (a day or two anyway) and I need to figure out the best way to ship box sets and things. Please bear with me gang, I have some homework and pondering to do. ![]() ![]() Last edited by painted_klown; 02-15-2012 at 05:11 PM. |

Well, I have been doing some thinking about this and I think the best/easiest way for me to go about this would be to create "bundles" and sell them for $100.00 each with free shipping to the continental U.S.A.
The bundles would be mixed with rare/common/digibooks/Criterions/box sets/etc. I am not saying each bundle will contain 1 of each item, but it would be a simple way to sell and ship...and it makes it easier to move the lesser titles as well. ![]() I was thinking a perhaps a "flat rate" for in print Disney/Pixar titles...maybe value them at $10 each, in print digibooks $12, in print Criterions $17, ect. and just mix them up. Thoughts? I am 100% open for suggestions here gang. What do you think? ![]() |

Sounds like a great idea, I think you would definitely get bids (depending on how many titles you'd have in each bundle). Buyers LOVE free shipping! Let us know when you put them up, maybe we'll put a few bids in too...

You can also set reserves on a bundled auction on ebay see if you like the price, or someone caves on a buy now(doubt it) But bundling by lots is a good idea too. I see that with cards on ebay and people do bid on those (not me I always think, if I bought all the lots I still wouldn't see the wow factor cards). |

Well, I stayed up all night last night (literally) trying to figure out how to do this in a realistic manner.
I attempted several times to make "$100.00 bundles". It worked ok, but some bundles had a lot of appeal while others seemed "meh" ![]() So I tried several times, starting over again (and again), and never really achieved success in making a bunch of $100.00 bundles that all had similar "wow factor" (to quote reality t.v.) ![]() Maybe this isn't a good idea...I don't know. I might work on it a bit tonight, or tomorrow, but if I don't find an easy/logical solution to splitting these up, then I may was well just keep them. I honestly don't like the idea of just selling my "gems" and be left with a ho-hum bargain bin collection...if that makes sense. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
