The movie looks so cliche that I can't tell if it's supposed to be serious or a satire/parody.

Somewhere out there Nic Cage is chewing his agent out for missing this role. Seriously though, this looks incredibly badass. It's good to see Keanu back in form. I still haven't seen 47 Ronin.

I think it is a combination. They know what kind of film it is and it looks like it will straddle the fence in a good way. Not as over the top as Shoot 'Em Up, but maybe something like Smokin Aces without as much comedy. The action will be crazy and some of the dialog will be cheesy, but it will be fully entertaining.

It looks good. I like that it's about a guy getting revenge for the death of his dog. Years ago I thought that would make a cool movie. And now it has happened. Though in my head it was a Kill Bill style movie. This will work too. I would prefer a better lead, but whatever.

and yet, this 2 minute trailer was a lot better than the whole runtime of VERY succesfull Lucy!!

He's an extremely limited actor, but that doesn't mean there aren't roles that suit him. As long as he's not trying to play Abraham Lincoln or Hannibal Lecter or... Jonathan Harker... he's fine. Also, when it comes to movies, sometimes having an It Factor goes further than acting chops.
