Well the good news is that the 23 August is a Monday, so this isn't just another false sign.

Strange that the regular release is set for 28 June, and this is 2 months later...

Time to cancel the order for the amaray version

Great find OP

Now, what to do with my DVD steelbook?

Might have to keep it if this version comes with no extras

It's pretty good, but I always liked the original Amsel poster. I grew up on his posters, and it would be *amazing* if more of the catalogue releases came out on SB with his artwork.

geek trivia: In 'The Mist' the main character's artwork is all Amsel's work.

You make me feel old. I saw it in theatres, I got the VHS, the DVD, the UK DVD Steelbook and just last night I received a Blu-ray to put on it for a hybrid. And now an UK Blu-Ray sized steelbook.

The movie wasn't any popular on the US. Why do they keep doing Steelbooks of it on England? I don't remember many movies having both DVD and Blu Ray sized steelbooks at a later date, specially catalog titles.

Well it's only two, and it's possibly because it was far more popular here in the UK than in the US. It's always been a cult classic here and this is where its majority of popularity is from and that's what studios work on, because naturally Steelbooks cost a bit more to produce and if they think they can't shift enough in the US, then they won't release it.

If you check out the US Blu-ray review of the film here on this site, then I think you'll see what I mean, because the reviewer clearly has little interest in the film and this is what the studio is basing it on. It's a real shame I know because there are many movies which I really like and have a Steelbook release in other countries, but I don't want to import so i'm stuck with the standard amaray.

Well that's what I think.
