Question Sharp Aquos LCD and 24p

Hi all,
I have an Aquos LCD model LC-42D72U and the Sony BDP-S300 blu palyer. Now, I know the player is 24 enabled, and also, the LCD is capable of doing it through its Film Mode in the settings. My problem is that when the Film Mode is ON in the settings of the LCD, I get a message reading something like No video source detected, or something like that. Any idea how to make this work? Only certain movies are 24p enabled?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Sebastian

i've never heard of specific movies being 24p enabled... it's a feature set on the tv itself, not the disc. it just displays 24 frames per sec for a more theater-like experience. perhaps you should take off the film mode and give that a try.

edit: are you connecting via HDMI or what?

So you're saying that I should turn the setting off? How can I tell the difference between 24p ON and OFF? Yes, I am connected via HDMI.
