Seems Twilight Time is releasing both the original 1995 and shorter 2000 cut of "The Fantasticks" - although not a good film by any stretch of the imagination, the longer version was actually better.
I was one of the very few who saw this in a theater in 2000 - MGM/UA planned to release it in Nov of 1995 but the preview was so bad it sat on the shelf for 5 years before going to DVD. Contractually it had to play in theaters for a few weeks before going to video - so it played in 3 or 4 cities at one theater each for 2 weeks in Sept 2000. The film looked great on the big screen and the print sure didn't get worn out. The film should look great on Blu-ray - too bad it doesn't work, not only did it fall flat it fell big time.
