There are two titles that have been released in other countries, but not here in the US. I'm wondering if there is a general time period when one can expect to see a US release OR if there is a period of time that basically says "sorry it aint gonna happen for a long time, if ever".
The Bounty: Released in France on 5/15/2012. I consider it the best telling of the story. Von Ryan's Express: Released in France on 6/1/2012(actually region free apperently?) Also, Released in Spain on 6/6/2012 and to be released in Sweden/Demark/Norway on 9/19/2012. This is one of those 60's war movies that is enjoyable and entertaining. |

It is a crap shoot, imo. With the two examples you provided the one concerning "The Bounty" the distribution rights are all over the place and the chances of it being issued in any other territory, be it the US or anywhere, would most likely range from 'soon' to 'don't hold your breath'. With "von Ryan's Express" this is a case of one sole, and major, distributor (as far as I can assess), Fox, and chances are higher that the release will be worldwide with maybe only a few months inbetween the various territories.
