i heard that a few people got there hands on blades of glory on blu ray. any truth to this

well i am sorry, i hope i didnt offend you in the same way that you intended to offend me. i am new here and a big blu ray entusiast and thought it was released before the paramount split. So please accept my apology and i will try not to offend you with any questions. but in the small chance that i do, dont be an @ss just tell me where to look and i will gladly go there for my answer.

yes, people got some copies of BoG... stupid flick IMHO... rented it and didn't really get as many laughs as i thought.

some people claim they have got it on blu-ray and they even mention on this website in the news section that some copies made it to shelves on blu-ray but very limited copies were able to make it just in time before paramount's deal since it was right at the same time. i couldnt tell you if its true or not since i havent seen a copy of it myself

There was a big craze when the movie first came out and Paramount made the dumbest choice of there career by going DUD and are now suffering but anyways the Blu babies were produced then pulled so there may have been a small chance someone got there hands on one and there were Ebay auctions that got pretty expensive but were mostly a hoax. So in conclusion purchase it on DVD because the movie isnt that good and the Up Convert looks and sounds better than Dud. And after 16 months when the exclusivity ends buy it again on the best format possible, yeah you guessed it Blu ray "Experience High Definition"

I was as nice as I could be...the OP and you have read what I said incorrectly as it was not expressed verbally. My answer was a sincere plea for the OP not to put anything else up about Blades of Glory. It was discussed into the ground here on blu-ray.com. But I've written an apology to the OP and sent it in a PM.

And in the post, I gave the OP a simple answer to the subject--look it up in the search function. Last night Blu-ray.com was barraged with numerous post just like this one of people who didn't know how to use the search function first before posting as I even talked to the mods about it.

I have it on pre-order from www.amazon.de

the site is only in german but its laid out the same way as amazon.com so you can navigate easy enough.

It doesn't release for a while though. many other HD DVD exlusives are available in europe as well. www.amazon.co.uk has lucky number sleven, the island and many others.

also you can get face off from amazon.co.jp

I can confirm that the ones i have bough play on region a despite some being labeled region b. for a full list you can search in the forums for more data.
