thanks! I will check for it. I don't own Total Recall. I only recently saw Hercules in New York and think it's pretty funny/weird. And I'm hoping the Terminator 2 is maybe an alternate older transfer to the one that came with the UHD.

Damn! Herc in New York? Awesome! I might have to break my sacrosanct rule of never setting foot in Wallmart for that. Then we just need some better cover art and we're good to go!
Any extras, or is bare bones? And please, please PLEASE tell me we get the original "Eye-am Urk-u-leez!" soundtrack! |

You know, I was going to skip this one but I am thinking I need to go get this. I don't have Red Heat, Hercules looks like a lot of fun and I heard The Last Stand is actually good (and I like Johnny Knoxville). I already own T2 and Total Recall of course. Thanks Mr. West!

Pity - the terrible dub they got for Arnold was deliriously fun. Ah well, still worth it!
I would contend that there isnt a bad* movie in the bunch. Maggie was a surprisingly good spin on your usual zombie flick. The last stand was very strong. It's been a very long time since I saw Red Heat, so I only vaguely remember it being fun if kind of dumb. *Well, Hercules in New York not withstanding. Ironically enough. |

Maggie is more of a slower paced character driven drama that focuses on the titular character as she comes to terms with her eventual death from a zombie virus and her father's devotion to making sure she's comfortable in her last days. Arnold delivers a solid performance that proves he's capable of so much more. There is one scene that makes me wish we could have a full movie of Arnold battling zombie hordes. However that said, I couldn't bring myself to watch it again, Abigail Breslin's performance was so good that it broke my heart and made it very hard to watch her slowly die from the disease. My biggest complaint about the movie is there is no emotional closure for Arnold's character. The Last Stand is something I would rank among Arnold's best, a lot of fun. And definitely the best of his return movies. Red Heat, I love the chemistry between Schwarzenegger and Belushi. I also love mismatched buddy cop movies. A lot of replay value Total Recall, I don't think I need to sell you on this.. you have Paul Verhoven directing Arnold in a sci-fi classic and finally T2: Judgment Day. which is a classic that needs no introduction. Out of all the actor sets, Arnold's is the best overall with the only real clunker being his debut cinematic masterpiece. |

The back cover shows all these movies to have lossy Dolby tracks on this compilation release, and no mention of lossless audio. That would be sad, especially for a film like Last Stand, which had an exceptional DTS-HDMA 7.1 track, or even T2's muscular 6.1 DTS-HD audio. It's alright if all one wants is a cheap release, but there would be a significant dip in quality too.

I own all the movies in this collection barring Hercules and Maggie (watched the latter on a night flight from Vegas to the UK and absolutely loved it; a really underappreciated gem of a movie in my opinion).
Living in the UK it will be easier for me to import the German release of Hercules; does anyone have that version and able to comment on the quality of it? |
