I so want to see this film! Looks fantastic! I can see myself getting this, assuming it looks good.

So this is the Kenny Rogers version, right?

It's OK but I would recommend the original 1974 Karel Reisz film with James Caan over the remake. That film has much more depth and is a much better character study (and that, in essence, is what this story is) than the new film.

Still, I do want to own the remake, but can that Dec 1 release date be for real or is that a placeholder date?

And more importantly, how about releasing The Gambler (1974) on BD?

You mean the Geico commercial? I like it but they'd have to add some extras.

Saw this in the theaters at release. I'm a huge gambler and I thought it was just ok. Will probably wait for a $9.99 price point if at all

I actually do like this, but again, that price! I'm really cutting back on what I buy, and especially on special versions of movies I haven't even seen yet. I was debating between the regular or steel versions of Fury. Ended up just got the regular version but I might end up getting the Japanese steel if I watch it and like it. I'm a fan of Wahlberg and I'll buy pretty much anything of his anyway.

I know right. Why put Walhberg on the right side where the disc hub will cover him and basically have a boring left side.

Haha yes! Exactly!!

That was my initial thought about it too!

With the discs in, all you see on the left is landscape then Seems like a waste

At the very least they could have at least moved the image to the left so at least the complete skyline was on the left side.

Emails saying less than 500 copies left. I'm not sure I believe them.
