Jackie Chan? - Blu-ray Forum

will Jackie Chan movies come on Blu? I'm not talking about his Hollywood trash, but Project A, Police story, Armour of god, Island of fire, Twin dragons ... most are Golden Harvest in China, any idea what their choice will be?

Kind of hard to say at this point. Golden Harvest has not invested into film for 4+ years already. I would imagine as costs get driven down they would eventually release these movies onto Blu-ray. Until then, I wouldn't really expect any of these to come out onto Blu-ray anytime soon.

If anything you might see some of these movies come out over seas first before here.

Weinstein and Miramax are very anal about suppressing the good versions of these overseas. Expect them to lack english subs and/or be the US slice and dice versions

Boo on that. Those US film chop shops really do a horrible injustice to these films.
