Default Movie count

Im in the process of replying to an article I had found thru AOL on BD vs DUD. Came out yesterday say that both formats have about 190 movie releases each for the US only. I know thats wrong. Does anyone have a release count thats relatively accurate? Thanks in advance.

I always see in the BestBuy flyer under Blu-ray "Over 350 titles to choose from!" and whenever I go in they have about 50 max. Those fools. And only one copy of each.

Try this http://www.blu-raystats.com/ for blu-ray. There is a link on this page that takes you to HD numbers also if I remember correctly.

How did you find the time to watch 230ish movies? Has Blu even been out for more than a year? Were they mostly ones you had seen previously in other formats? Just curious.

Oh, since you have 5 TVs maybe you watched them 5 at a time simultaneously.

Id say on average I watch a movie a day. Sure there are times where I wont watch a movie for a few days, but there are days were ill watch 5 or more. 250 movies watched in a full year is very possible.

That's how I am. Some days it's one movie. Some days it's 6 movies. Some days/weeks it's no movies. Like right now, I am kinda in a dry spell. Watched a BD movie yesterday but I was just not "into" it. Before my dry spell, I watched Grey's Anatomy Seasons 1 and Seasons 2 literally in 2 days. Freakin awesome. Before that I was on an ER kick. Watching an entire season in one day/sitting. Oh and before that, it was an X-files kick as I never got to watch the entire series. So, I happily own all of x-files and all off ER (minus what's not out).

So yes, it is VERY likely and do-able. Movies are my passion. Especially when that rare movie comes along that grabs your attention and sucks you into it. You know what I am talking about if you have experienced it. You feel like you are part of the movie.

I wasn't trying to dispute anything, I just thought that was a crazy amount. I've collected 138 titles on DVD/Blu over the last 7 or however many years and probably only watched half of em. Well, maybe at least 75% not including TV series.
