Twisted Thriller Debuts on DVD September 11, 2012

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – Hell hath no fury…like a prom queen scorned in the horrifying thriller THE LOVED ONES, debuting on DVD (with UltraViolet™), On Demand and for Digital Download on September 11, 2012 from Paramount Home Media Distribution. Winner of the Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness People’s Choice award, THE LOVED ONES is “brutal, bloody and black as all hell” (Rolling Stone) and “a beautiful, fresh and engaging horror film that’s a must see” (Bloody Disgusting). When Brent (Xavier Samuel, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) rejects his classmate Lola’s (Robin McLeavy, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) invitation to the prom, he sets off a chain of events that leave him the victim of her twisted revenge. Now he's the only guest at Lola's terrifying and demented prom, and must fight to survive what could be his final dance. Will Brent live through this nightmare of drills, nails, glitter and syringes…or become one of Lola's "loved ones"?

THE LOVED ONES DVD includes a shocking, unrated version of the film, plus interviews with the film’s stars and special effects makeup supervisor.

All DVDs available for purchase will be enabled with UltraViolet, a new way to collect, access and enjoy movies. With UltraViolet, consumers can add movies to their digital collection in the cloud, and then stream or download them – reliably and securely – to a variety of devices.



THE LOVED ONES DVD is presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 televisions with English 5.1 Dolby Digital and English, French and Spanish subtitles. The disc includes the following:

What the hell? No Blu-ray release in the US? This was a great little flick but I'm not going to buy it on DVD.

Yeah, I saw this on DVDAF and Amazon the other day. Too bad about the lack of a BD release. I'll grab the dvd though, cause I've wanted to see it for like 3 years.

If you haven't seen it it will still be worth picking up. But I don't want to buy this and then have to double dip in the future with a Blu-ray.

I've had the UK Blu for a year or so. Good movie. I believe the German or Austrailian, one of the other countries, has more extras though.

I'm curious how much longer the Unrated version will be, if it's longer at all.

It's out on Tuesday. I'm going to rent it to watch it again but am very disappointed it's not coming to Blu-ray.

When it comes to Blu-ray DVDs these fulfill my movies requirements. Plus I have joined this forum for getting access to my favorite movies and other videos without any hassle.
