Default A Perfect Murder — score question

OK, this may be a little obscure, but I'm hoping someone here might have the knowledge to solve my question.

In the opening adultery sequence of A Perfect Murder — from 0:01:40 to 0:02:05 on the BD — there's a motif in the score based on soaring strings that sounded instantly familiar to me the first time I heard it, and I can't help thinking it's a reference to another score, but I can't place it. Can anyone help?

(For what it's worth, it goes D-F-D-C1-B or r : f : r : d' : t )

Of course I thought of "Dial M" first, but that doesn't seem to be it. It may just be one of those familiar-sounding riffs, of course, but it's hugely distinctive, and it doesn't occur again openly stated, but does appear in a muted form in the underscoring of some of the more tense scenes. It's turned into a bit of an earworm — it's stuck in my thoughts, and I keep hearing it.

Can anyone put me out of my misery, please?

YouTube link? It's been a while since I watched the movie or listened to the score.
