Question How much abuse can a Blu-ray case stand?

Hey, how much abuse can a Blu-ray case go through and still keep the DVD safe? Has anyone actually physically tested them out?

I don't know what did this but the boxes made it through without a scratch.

I would say the case itself is very sturdy and keeps the DVD well protected. But the plastic that keeps the DVD cover in place is not so tough. I already ripped two of those off just by unwrapping the shrink wrap which was stuck to the cover. Now I have to find a place that sells Blu-Ray cases to replace the darn things...

Are the Blu-ray cases safe enough to protect irriplaceable video on DVD?

my discs are just fine, but I've bought two blu-rays at walmart that had broken cases because they put the stupid anti-theft device on so tight it cracked. both times I didn't realize it until I removed the wrapper... They are minor cracks so I didn't bother to return them, I just won't buy anymore movies from walmart.

It also depends on how you open them. Some people take out discs horribly wrong.
