Default using my parameters, any other TV that might work?

I have been seriously considering Samsung's 65ES8000. If Sharp made the Elite in a 65", that might be my first choice.

Why the Samsung?
1) The size. Right now I have a 55" in a cabinet and that is the largest that will fit. To increase the size of the TV, I would to remodel the cabinet. If I remodel the cabinet then I should get the biggest TV possible and that is a 65" (59" wide). If the Elite 70" would fit that would be fantastic but no luck there. At BB, I looked at the Elite 60" which was hanging directly above the Samsung 65" and seeing both TVs on top of each other, made the Samsung look much bigger. 5" sure does look bigger when a 60 and a 65 are side by side. If I do this, bigger is better since PQ quality on both sets are damn good.

2) Depth of the TV. Samsung is 1.3 inches in depth. The cabinet molding is recessed 1" from where the wall is. The TV will fit snug against the cabinet molding and be hung by an articulating mount inside the cabinet. This means a 1" depth TV would fit flush with the molding making the TV almost flush with the wall giving a look my wife would be OK with. (Very important).

The Cabinet

I considered the V50 but it is about 2 1/2" thick making the TV extend about 1 1/2" into the room not flush with the wall. Most plasma are this deep or deeper.

Parameters

I need a TV with a great PQ, no bigger than 60" wide and no deeper than 1 1/2.

The Samsung 65ES8000 fits this bill. Any others that might work that I am not thinking of?

The Samsung 65ES8000 seems like a great choice to me...it is an outstanding quality HDTV with plenty of features, despite its black levels and screen uniformity not being the best.

Not really going to hurt the cabinet (that would be a killer for my wife). The opening of the cabinet is 49" wide and the total width of the inside of the cabinet is about 51 1/2" only excepting a 55" TV.

What I am going to do is not actually hurt the cabinet.

I will build a small wall inside the cabinet about 12" from the opening. The wall will be made of 2 2x12's supported by the side walls of the cabinet.

When the wall has been secured, I will attach an articulating TV mount to it.

The mount will be able to extend out to about 30" and hold up to 200 lbs. The TV will be attached to the arms of the mount.

Then the 65" TV will be able to be pushed back to the cabinet molding. About 5" of the outside of the TV will cover the left and right side molding and about 1" under the two doors above. The cabinet is a little over 1" recessed into the wall and with the TV pushed back against the molding filling that recess creating an almost flush look with the wall.

That, to me, is the best way to get a larger TV than a 55", not hurt the cabinet, make the wife and and me happy.

I know there are two small chairs in front of the TV but they are very low and not at all bother the viewing of the TV. The viewing area is directyly in front of the TV and holds about 8 people.

My wife, once a week, has any where from 10-23 people over and we need as many chairs as possible. That is why the two low red chairs.
